DANNÉ 2008 UK Tour
The first new clinic we opened was in Yorkshire and the new clients were very impressed by Danné and all booked courses of treatment on the day.
The next day we drove to Bolton for a huge event. This was a fund raiser event for Breast Cancer, with over 100 guests attending. The place was buzzing, champagne flowed and the caterers provided a wonderful spread. We were treated like celebrities. When we stepped out of the car, the “paparazzi” went crazy with cameras flashing left right and centre. Danné did a great talk, as usual all the lady’s were swooning at him. It carried on to be a huge party, which we unfortunately had to leave after 4 hours as we had to get to our next clinic to open in Wolverhampton.
The venue for the Wolverhampton opening was in a nearby restaurant. The new Clinic was dressed with a huge pink bow tied around the entrance. Danné cut the ribbon to officially open the clinic.
Our next stop was in Shakespeare country where we sampled the delights of Stratford-upon-Avon, including eating lunch Al Fresco in one of the oldest pub’s in the U.K. Apparently Shakespeare was a regular there.
That afternoon we drove across the country to Sandringham, to one of the Queens residences. We had a tour around the Queen’s home and were made to feel very welcome by all the people who work for her majesty.
After that lovely day despite the awful weather, we drove into London, to prepare for the event of the week; the DANNÉ UK family gathering. Over fifty of our top clinics were invited to spend some informal time with Danné. We met up at the lovely Le Meridian in Mayfair for drinks, moving on after drinks to the Lyric Theatre to see Cabaret. Unbeknown to me it was a new risqué version of the show. Some of the doctors thought it was just like being in theatre (hospital-style). It went down well however. After the show we all went back to the hotel for a traditional British afternoon tea and were all honoured to hear Danné play the piano so beautifully. The whole day was just perfect.
Last but not least, was the opening of our new residential training centre in Ascot, just a few miles from Windsor, another of the Queens Residences. We opened the doors with our first training in March, just 5 days after we had moved in. All the people who attended the courses have found the centre to be a great place to learn in a relaxing atmosphere where they can bond with colleagues and make good friends. It is proving to be working well.
It was nice for the Clinics to meet with Danné on an informal basis, in contrast to the more serious approach to our work. I would just like to say that I am very proud of all my clinics who do such fantastic work in the UK and it is a pleasure to be their educator. They are all so passionate about DANNÉ.
