Case Studies

Here are a few case studies, you may recognise a similar pattern to your skin condition.

Case 1 – David from London

27 year old white male. Fitzpatrick skin type 2. Active acne present, with post acne scarring.

The acne began at 16 years old. David was prescribed four different courses of antibiotics and after each course the acne returned.

The skin was treated once a week for three weeks. After this the skin was showing good signs of recovery and a further two treatments a month apart were applied. After this the active acne was gone and the post acne scarring was improved. David wanted to continue with treatments to address the acne scarring. A peel was carried out and David was very pleased with the results.

David is still using the Danné Home Prescriptives to maintain the skin in its healthy condition.

Case 2 – Nubia from London

20 year old black female student. Fitzpatrick skin type 6. Active acne present with post acne scarring resulting in hyperpigmentation.

The acne began at 14 years old and no acne medication had been prescribed. Over the counter products had been applied over the years which aggravated the acne.

The skin was treated monthly for four months. Ideally, this should have been fortnightly but this was not possible for Nubia. The hyperpigmentation was treated at the same time as the acne. After the four months of treatment and the use of Home Prescriptives the active acne was under control. No further treatment was taken for three months and following her return to the UK monthly treatments were resumed for a further three months. There had been a minor breakout during this time which was related to stress from her examinations.

Following the three monthly treatments the skin was in very good condition and the last appointment was six months ago. Nubia is still using the Home Prescriptives. She is very happy with her new skin and has a renewed self-confidence.
